Description

The Brit Stone series draws its inspiration from the renowned English Burlington stone, celebrated for its distinctive blue-green hues. This sedimentary stone is highly valued by architects and designers for its remarkable durability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Brit Stone captures these qualities, presenting them on an alluring surface that remains true to the original material, especially when showcased in large tile formats. The collection is available in three exquisite finishes: natural, semi-polished, and structured. It offers a palette of warm and cool colors, featuring the captivating Ocean shade that instantly grabs attention and transports you to the enchanting depths of the Nordic seas.

This is one of many floor tiles options at our showroom, including a wide range from other brands. You can also see all from Centura at the Quality Red Tag Floors warehouse on Roper Road in Edmonton, or request a quote on your install.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between floor tile and wall tile?

Floor tile is rated to handle foot traffic and has a higher hardness rating (PEI). Wall tile is thinner and lighter and is not designed to be walked on. Floor tile can usually be used on walls, but wall tile should never go on the floor.

What PEI rating do I need for my room?

PEI 3 is fine for most residential floors. Entryways, kitchens, and commercial spaces should use PEI 4 or 5. Walls and backsplashes only need PEI 1 or 2. We will steer you to the right rating when you visit our Edmonton showroom.

Can tile be installed over radiant in-floor heat?

Yes. Porcelain and ceramic tile are excellent over radiant heat because they conduct warmth evenly. Just make sure to follow the heating system manufacturer's ramp-up guidelines after grouting.

How long does tile installation take?

A typical bathroom or entryway runs two to four days, accounting for layout, setting, grout cure, and sealing. Larger kitchens and basements take longer. Our installer will give you an accurate timeline with your quote.

How do I clean and maintain tile floors?

Sweep regularly and damp-mop with a mild neutral cleaner. Avoid acidic or harsh chemicals on natural stone or grout. Re-sealing grout every couple of years keeps it looking new.
