Description

Cedarwood is a warm, natural Maple from the Fuzion Countryside collection, a traditional 3-1/2" strip floor with a smooth face and a high-luster finish that gives it a classic, polished look. Low colour variation keeps it clean and consistent. The 3/4" thick planks carry a 3 mm dry-sawn face layer over a multi-layer plywood core and come in random lengths up to 47". Install it nailed, stapled or glued down on, above or below grade, and it is suitable for hydronic radiant heat. CARB II and FloorScore certified, with a limited 35-year residential finish warranty and lifetime structural warranty. 25.58 sq. ft. per carton.

Frequently asked questions

Solid or engineered hardwood for an Edmonton home?

Engineered hardwood is the safer pick for Edmonton because our winters are bone-dry and our summers are humid. The cross-layer construction handles the moisture swings without cupping. Solid hardwood is still great on main floors with stable humidity, but we usually recommend engineered for whole-home installs.

Can hardwood go in a basement?

Engineered hardwood can. Solid hardwood cannot be installed below grade because of moisture from the slab. If you want a wood look in a basement, ask us about engineered hardwood or a high-end vinyl plank.

Will hardwood floors handle pets and kids?

Yes, with the right species and finish. Harder woods like white oak and hickory dent less, and modern aluminum-oxide finishes shrug off scratches. Trim pet nails and use felt pads under furniture and your floor will look new for years.

How thick should the wear layer be on engineered hardwood?

Look for a wear layer of 3 mm or more if you want the option to refinish later. Thinner wear layers (1.2 to 2 mm) are fine for a single lifetime of use but cannot be sanded down.
