Description

Tidepool Hue is a light, cool Oak from the Fuzion Coastline collection, a pale, airy colour that makes smaller rooms feel open. The 7-1/2" wide planks come in random lengths up to 71", lightly wirebrushed with subtle saw marks and a low-luster finish. At 1/2" thick with a 2 mm sliced face layer on a multi-layer plywood core and micro-beveled edges, it installs nailed, stapled, glued down or floated on, above or below grade, including over hydronic in-floor heat. CARB II and FloorScore certified, with a limited 35-year residential finish warranty and lifetime structural warranty. 29.45 sq. ft. per carton.

This is one of many engineered hardwood options at our showroom, including a wide range from other brands. You can also see all from Fuzion that we can bring in for your Edmonton project, or request a quote on your install.

Frequently asked questions

Solid or engineered hardwood for an Edmonton home?

Engineered hardwood is the safer pick for Edmonton because our winters are bone-dry and our summers are humid. The cross-layer construction handles the moisture swings without cupping. Solid hardwood is still great on main floors with stable humidity, but we usually recommend engineered for whole-home installs.

Can hardwood go in a basement?

Engineered hardwood can. Solid hardwood cannot be installed below grade because of moisture from the slab. If you want a wood look in a basement, ask us about engineered hardwood or a high-end vinyl plank.

Will hardwood floors handle pets and kids?

Yes, with the right species and finish. Harder woods like white oak and hickory dent less, and modern aluminum-oxide finishes shrug off scratches. Trim pet nails and use felt pads under furniture and your floor will look new for years.

How thick should the wear layer be on engineered hardwood?

Look for a wear layer of 3 mm or more if you want the option to refinish later. Thinner wear layers (1.2 to 2 mm) are fine for a single lifetime of use but cannot be sanded down.

Do you supply samples to take home?
