Description

Dreamweave is a soft, light Oak from the Fuzion Whistler's Village collection, an Oak line on 7-1/2" wide, 9/16" thick planks with a 3-layer solid core and 3 mm sawn face layer. Pale with gentle grain. A light wirebrushed texture, four-sided micro-bevel and low-luster UV-cured finish with aluminum oxide give it a clean, artisanal look. The tongue-and-groove planks install stapled, glued down or floated on, above or below grade, and the floor is suitable for hydronic radiant heat. FloorScore certified, with a limited 35-year residential finish warranty and lifetime structural warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Solid or engineered hardwood for an Edmonton home?

Engineered hardwood is the safer pick for Edmonton because our winters are bone-dry and our summers are humid. The cross-layer construction handles the moisture swings without cupping. Solid hardwood is still great on main floors with stable humidity, but we usually recommend engineered for whole-home installs.

Can hardwood go in a basement?

Engineered hardwood can. Solid hardwood cannot be installed below grade because of moisture from the slab. If you want a wood look in a basement, ask us about engineered hardwood or a high-end vinyl plank.

Will hardwood floors handle pets and kids?

Yes, with the right species and finish. Harder woods like white oak and hickory dent less, and modern aluminum-oxide finishes shrug off scratches. Trim pet nails and use felt pads under furniture and your floor will look new for years.

How thick should the wear layer be on engineered hardwood?

Look for a wear layer of 3 mm or more if you want the option to refinish later. Thinner wear layers (1.2 to 2 mm) are fine for a single lifetime of use but cannot be sanded down.
